Burning with a desire to avenge their only loss of the year against the Goannas in round five, the Lions put previously unbeaten MCUE out of their comfort zone with constant pressure and a strong defensive structure.
Rowe said the flaws targeted by the Lions were discussed at length at a lighter training run on Tuesday.
"The loss on the weekend was one that uncovered some alarming areas for us, and some areas I haven't seen be a concern this season to date. There's some things we need to address and work quickly on," he said.
"You have to give credit to Ganmain because they were good enough to uncover those issues. They preyed on them and did a very good job on the day.
"We spent a fair bit of time discussing what goes on between the ears when we're challenged, and those types of things.
"Our training has been exceptional and I don't think that's the problem at the moment. It's when the heat of the game comes onto us. We have to educated better in how to get through that, and educated better when it comes to adapting to things that might pop up during a game.

"Without a doubt when the game's coming at us, the pressure's on and the opponent is providing manic pressure around the contest, we have to handle that a bit better."
The Goannas' depth will be tested through injuries and unavailability, both long term and short term.
Defender Dom Bunyan will have further scans on Friday on a shoulder injury suffered against the Lions which is putting his season in doubt, but Nick Collins (concussion) and Trent Cohalan (adductor) are expected to miss only this weekend's clash against Narrandera.
The Sydney lockdown and Wagga's removal from the 'bubble' has also ruled out Melbourne-based Colin Sanbrook returning to the club. Sydney-based Matt Collins (one game) will be unable to qualify for finals. Brother Harry is qualified for finals, but his availability is growing more unlikely by the week.
The good news is Jacob Whitley has been named to return from injury, and will play his first game in a month.
"Dom Bunyan is the concern, he had scans on Monday and there's potential he may have a crack in his scapula," Rowe said.
"He's got an MRI scan on Friday to confirm what the story is, it's a unique injury and we don't know much about it.
"In common sense terms if it's a break we could have some dramas there, but we'll sit and wait.
"There's guys who will get a chance through necessity, and others who have been knocking down the door and deserve to get a look.
"You want your best team on the paddock but it's exciting when these guys get an opportunity and there's still spots on the line in our team."
