We appreciate everyone's co-operation with this NSW Government COVID safety measure.
We also require everyone to sign in with the library's QR code, using the NSW Service smartphone app.
Patrons who are unable to use this method should see staff at the front desk to sign in manually. All information is confidential and will only be used for contact tracing in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.
Word of Mouth
Library staff have been busily transcribing oral histories of the 2WG Women's Club and the Wagga Wagga floods of 2012, and they would love your help.
The Amplify project is a partnership among four NSW public libraries and the State Library of NSW, and Wagga's contribution features locals recounting their unique experiences in conversation with historian Sherry Morris.
The Amplify project pairs these interviews with a machine-generated transcript, creating an important cultural document for future generations.
You are invited to simply listen to the interviews at bit.ly/wwclamplify, or even better, to correct any transcript errors you may find.
Your knowledge of Wagga will be invaluable to future researchers, as you correct misspellings or unusual interpretations of local place names and people. To edit, you simply click on the transcript line with the mistake, make your correction, and continue listening.
Take the Challenge
Our online Reading Challenge, "Read Around Australia", continues until July 25. Readers from Kindergarten to Year 12 can read their way around major Australian landmarks, visiting a new location for every hour of reading. Readers who log ten hours go in the draw for our special winter-themed prize.
