One health official has also issued a warning to those in lockdown, "don't try to escape" by coming to the Riverina.
After case numbers in NSW continue to soar, with 112 recorded in the latest 24-hour period, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District is urging the region not to get complacent.
In the MLHD, residents have to limit the number of visitors in their homes to five, use the QR Code for retail and hospitality check-ins and wear masks indoors in public venues and organised outdoor events.
While there have been no further cases of COVID-19 identified in the MLHD, infectious diseases specialist Timothy Gilbey said the situation remains "dynamic".
He explained the cases with an "unknown" source of transmission are of concern.

"That certainly has a significant part to play in how the transmission of COVID is prevented in areas such as Wagga."
Dr Gilbey said they have had people ask about visiting family and friends from Greater Sydney.
"You can't escape the lockdown," he said.
"If you do travel from Sydney to a regional area, you are still under the same orders via the public health order, and that is to remain in self-isolation for at least two weeks.
"That does apply, so be vigilant."
There have been 4690 tests completed in the past week in the district, but Dr Gilbey said those numbers should be higher.
"The testing numbers could improve, to be honest," he said.
"For winter, you would imagine respiratory symptoms would be more present than that. If you do have symptoms, don't go out in public places but do get yourself tested, so we know there is not COVID in the local area."
