The Sharks moved to third spot on the ladder last Sunday with an important 2-0 away win at Tumut and will look to consolidate their position against the Lions.
Young sit in fifth spot, just goal difference off fourth, and are just one behind Lake Albert.
Lake Albert co-coach Chris Ayton senses an opportunity to put some space between his team and Young.
"With there only being three points between second and fifth, every game that we play against those sides is important," Ayton said.
"It's not the time of the year to be dropping points. I think the next few weeks for a lot of those teams, the results are going to have an impact on whether they make the top four or not.
"I think everyone's going to come out and put their best foot forward."

Lake Albert defeated Young 2-1 earlier in the year at Hall Bros Oval. Ayton said the Sharks will take some confidence from that.
"You definitely do but it was a long time ago," he said.
"It was a tough road trip. It was a very good win for us. I'm kind of hoping it will be a tough road trip for them."
Lake Albert had hoped to go in full-strength this week with Chris Durman available after missing last week.
Levi Hughes made a successful return against Tumut, scoring both of Lake Albert's goals in his first appearance since May.
But a couple of injury concerns mean that might not be the case. Justin Curran (back) and Mitch Tinnock (hamstring) are both in doubt to face Young.
"We'll give them until the last minute," Ayton said.
"It's kind of the way it goes. We were looking forward to getting our full-strength team out there, which we haven't done this year, but then you get some injuries.
"We're lucky as a club though we've got really good depth and injuries are no excuse for not getting the job done."
