The Blues (6-4 this year) accounted for winless The Rock-Yerong Creek 68-29 to solidify fourth place on the ladder, and a win over North Wagga this Saturday would put them just a game behind the third-placed Saints.
They will head to McPherson Oval without defender Jemma Pound and centre Brianna Clark, who will also miss the clash with second-placed Temora next weekend.
"Obviously there's still some things to work on. With school holidays coming up we've got some mums who are going away," Hillier said.
"The weekend (win over The Rock-Yerong Creek) was good because it gave us a chance to do some shuffling and to see what players can play certain positions," Hillier said.

"The next two weeks we've got North Wagga and Temora and we won't be at full strength, so it's a bit of an unknown.
"The top five is pretty solid this year, especially the top three teams who will be very hard to beat. They (North Wagga) obviously hit their stride now."
The Saints, who have won their last three games, thrashed the Blues 52-26 in round three and Hillier is optimistic of being more competitive this time.
"We just didn't click at all. It just comes back to trying to cement a few things at training," she said.
"There's so many new girls at training and hopefully we can sort a game plan.
"I think it's about composure early, just keeping our heads. We're not as strong trying to come back into games, but if we start well we can usually keep a lead."
In other matches fifth-placed Northern Jets now have a two-win buffer over their closest rival with a 46-36 win over Barellan, North Wagga belted East Wagga Kooringal 56-17 and Charles Sturt University accounted for Marrar 53-24.
Temora had the bye after dropping their first match of the season to North Wagga the previous week.
