Toy Run coordinator Pat Combs said the event's members had met a few weeks ago to decide of a route that would include the southern Wagga suburbs such as Lloyd and different areas north of the city.https://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/6531396/toy-run-collects-christmas-gifts-for-hundreds-of-families/
"The main changes to the run is that it will be about 15 kilometres shorter than is usually is. We're making it a lot easier for people to follow as we're not doubling and we're just doing a big circuit," he said.
"We're going to come out of the Jubilee Park car park and go through Bourkelands then straight down and turn left into the new suburb, Lloyd, and then do to Ashmont and then out to Estella,"
"We 're taking a different route through Estella this year. What we are trying to do is include a bit more of the new housing developments as in years gone by we have missed Lloyd and Gobbagombalin."
Last year's event saw a convoy of 123 motorbikes leave Jubilee Park for a 90-kilometre ride around the city before reaching their final destination at the Civic Centre where the toys were delivered to two well-deserving charities.
The ride was able donate $10,000 worth that were evenly split between the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Pauls to distribute to families in need after a particularly challenging year.
Mr Combs said he was expecting a more average number of 200 bikes this year with two utes to pick up toys that people can donate along the ride.
The Wagga Toy Run takes place on the first Saturday in December, which will be the 4th of the month this year.
