Ward took out half of the programme and did so by guiding three big-priced winners home from five rides for the day.
Ward was successful on Single Swag ($51), Willy White Socks ($8.50) and War Blues ($17).
Willy White Socks, now trained by George Dimitropoulos, took out the feature race, the $12,000 Auswild & Broad L W Peacock Cup Benchmark 50 Handicap (1400m).
It was the eight-year-old's first win since August 2019.
On Saturday, he overcame the outside gate and 60 kilograms to storm home down the outside and beat Sydney Blue ($5.50) and Kruanui ($3.90) in a busy finish.
Willy White Socks is owned by Shane Wilson, along with the Boys 'N' Babes and Towong Thoroughbred syndicates.
Wagga trainer Ron Steiner also enjoyed his first success with War Blues.
The mare cracked it for her first win since October 2019, when with the Wayne Carroll stable.
She was having her 17th start for Steiner on Saturday. The win took her overall record to three wins and four minor placings from 28 starts.
