A number of Riverina Giants continued their push for selection in the Allies squad in the 15.14 (104) to 3.8 (26) victory at Blacktown Stadium.

Luke Lawrence kicked three goals in an impressive NAB League debut, while Luke Fellows and Matt Hamblin won plenty of the ball to continue their strong seasons.

Sam Stening, Nick Madden and Drew Beavan were others to shine in the big win.

GWS Giants Academy's Riverina coach Tim Sullivan was pleased to see so many local footballers again perform well on the big stage.

"We were a bit inaccurate early and then went to work, chipped away, chipped away and then it broke open," Sullivan said.

"Matt Hamblin was good early, Luke Fellows was exceptional on the wing, Nick Madden was good in the ruck and Drew Beavan down back was good despite the lack of footy down back.

"Sam Stening, too, just that conjugate for our forwards and midfield, he led up really well."

Sullivan said despite the scoreline, the Northern Territory proved difficult opposition.

"We tried to play our style of footy but it's hard against the NT, because they're so skillful, if you drop off a player they lower their eyes really well and use the short one, which can drag defenders our of their position," he said.

"They're always a tough one to play against and coach against with what they can do. We just went about doing the fundamentals right and winning the contest and denying them the footy and it worked."

Sullivan hopes the Giants can finish the season undefeated with a win over Tasmania this weekend.

"We're undefeated in NAB League, which is fantastic and something that we've had in the back of our minds, that we want to go undefeated in it," he said.

" We've got our last challenge this week against Tassie. They beat the Swans on the weekend so it will be a good challenge."

The Allies squad, to play at the national championships, could be named as soon as this week.
