Two men will face court on Monday after two officers were assaulted in the Riverina.
About 11pm on Saturday, officers were inspecting a licensed premises on Banna Ave, Griffith when security guards approached them about a group of four men who had been refused entry.
Two officers spoke to the men and told them to move on.
It's alleged that one of the men, aged 30, punched a security guard in the head.
A police statement said when officers tried to intervene, he knocked a 24-year-old male constable to the ground and punched him to the head before also punching a 32-year-old female probationary constable to the head.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on Banna Avenue after a short foot pursuit.
He was taken to Griffith Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer in the execution of duty cause actual bodily harm, two counts of reckless wounding - in company, affray and excluded person remain in vicinity of licensed premises.
The two officers were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Griffith Base Hospital.
The male officer suffered severe cuts to his head, and chin requiring stitches and the female officer sustained injuries to her head and a cut to the inside of her mouth requiring stitches.
Both officers suffered several other cuts and abrasions.
Following inquiries, a 21-year-old man was arrested after attending Griffith Police Station on Sunday.
He was charged with assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm, reckless wounding - in company, affray, excluded person remain in vicinity of licensed premises, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).
The ACT man was also charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic) in relation to an unrelated matter.
Both men have been refused bail to appear at Wagga Bail Court on Monday.
The officers have since been released from hospital.
