A man has been charged after a replica grenade, drugs, and weapons were uncovered during a house search.

Just after 11.30am on Tuesday, officers attached to Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Ashmont Avenue and spoke with the 54-year-old resident.
It will be alleged police located an inert grenade, which is a training model or replica.
A search of the premises also uncovered a .308 calibre rifle, cannabis and a plastic toy pistol, which officers seized.

The man was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with possessing an unregistered firearm (not pistol).
He was also charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm, possessing or using a military-style weapon without a permit, not keeping a firearm safely (not pistol/prohibited firearm), and possessing prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Local Court on July 21.
