Block only lasted 30 seconds in the Bombers' latest win over Coleambally with scans this week confirming a number of injuries, including a complete rupture of his ACL.
The season-ending blow is the latest setback in a frustrating season for Block, who had only managed one full game due to injuries.
The 26-year-old is shattered he won't get to play any further part in Marrar's push for a third Farrer League premiership in four seasons.
"Obviously me and Sparks (Lenon) were both hopeful that it might have only been a month or two off but it hit home when the report came back," Block said.
"I was pretty shattered.
"I'll just hook into the rehab, do all the right things and look forward to next year, I guess."
Aside from the ACL damage, Block sustained a grade two tear on the medial ligament, as well as some chipped cartilage and bruising on his femur and fibula.
It all came about from a slight bump as he got a kick away early in the Coleambally contest.

"It didn't feel like much," Block said.
"I was on for about 30 seconds. I played not even 90 minutes of footy for the year."
Block tore his groin five minutes into the Bombers' opening trial game this year. He then suffered another setback when injuring his calf doing the running, when nearing a return.
Block believes last season off due to COVID-19 may have played a part in his injuries.
"That might have been half the trouble, having the year off last year," he said.
"I really didn't do anything on my fitness and I think the body just wasn't ready. I was training three nights a week and feeling fit enough, but obvioiusly things weren't back to 100 per cent."
A two-time premiership player at Marrar, Block kicked 42 goals in their 2017 campaign.
In 2019, he switched back to rugby league at Temora, but did juggle both codes for most of the year.
Marrar coach Shane Lenon held high hopes for Block this season, particularly now he was back concentrating on one sport, and he showed good signs in his only hit-out against East Wagga-Kooringal.
The ladder leaders resume from a bye this Saturday when they travel to take on Barellan.
