Just after 2pm on Friday, emergency services were called to Wombat Road, Kingsvale, about 10 kilometres south of Young, following reports a Ford Courier had left the road and rolled.
The driver, a 54-year-old man, was taken for mandatory testing.
A seven-year-old boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and was later airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

A 50-year-old woman was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with serious head injuries and she remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from the Southern and Central West Crash Investigation Units examined the scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
