As if he hadn't done enough in the first six rounds, Marrar's league-leading goalkicker, James Lawton upped the ante on Saturday with a remarkable 12-goal haul in a 90-point win against Coleambally.

Only three of his teammates needed to kick goals as Lawton dominated in the 17.12 (114) to 3.6 (24) win, taking out the Graeme Reid Medal as best on ground in a game dedicated to raising awareness about mental health.

Lawton kicked Marrar's first seven goals and had nine by half-time. He finished the game on the bench but coach Shane Lenon insisted it was only soreness, and applauded the performance.
"He's playing good footy. He's been good every week. To kick 12, he wasn't only marking it, he was really lively when the ball hit ground level and he kicked a couple of very good opportunistic goals where he snapped them on his left," Lenon said.
"He's a very good player and we're lucky to have him, that's for sure... he only came off because the game was done and dusted."
Lawton's kicked 47 goals for the season and had a big say in Marrar maintaining an unbeaten record at Langtry Oval under Lenon.
That winning streak is now out to 25 games since the coach's arrival for the 2017 season.
"I wasn't aware of that," Lenon said. "To string that many wins together on your home deck, you've got to be happy with that. The boys pride themselves at home... a record like that speaks for itself. We obviously enjoy playing at home and play well at Langtry Oval. When you look at it like that, it's a bit of a fortress really."
Harry Reynolds and Jack Reynolds were strong across halfback to help restrict Coleambally to three goals while Marrar won the centre clearances and controlled the middle to set up their third win in a row.
The got into their groove midway through the first quarter and really set sail for victory either side of half-time.
"It's a pretty special day for 'Reidy's Round' and it was a good day for the club," Lenon said.
It means Marrar head for a bye on top of the ladder after six wins in seven games and Lenon said he's pleased with the improvement since round one.
"Take the wins and losses out of the equation. We're developing every week. The things we're working on at training, we're putting into practice on game day. It's a young group and they're improving week by week," Lenon said.
Marrar did lose Rory Block to a knee injury. They head to Barellan in two weeks before a general bye for the long weekend.
Coleambally sit seventh, two wins outside the top five. They take on Barellan and the Jets in coming weeks, desperate to add to their sole win (against Temora).
