The Blues were already without key forwards Zac Masters and Ron Leapai and co-coach Lachlan Bristow was pleased with how the side responded.
"Everyone really stepped up as we were missing a couple of key players and then we lost Jeddy early," Bristow said.
"We got into the grind but in the second half we turned him away, put the foot down and came away with a good win in the end."
While impressed with the display of the club's depth, Bristow hopes Pearce's injury isn't too serious with a big clash against Southcity to come.
"We're not too sure yet but it doesn't look overly bad," he said.
"We'll wait and see midweek but at the moment he's 50-50 for next week."
Tolo Aroha-Tuinauvai scored a double in another strong display.
