Now the Wagga trainer is out to make it two when Sports Candy lines up in the second round of Regional Championships at Riverina Paceway.
Mulley was thrilled with Swaggie Shannon's efforts last week.
"I thought he might have got found a little bit late but it just proved what we thought of him and how we think we should be trained worked as he run a super race," Mulley said.
Sports Candy has drawn seven in the first heat on Friday.
Despite missing a run at Albury last week, Mulley has been thrilled with the mare since she smashed the track record at Leeton last time out.
"It would be a massive thrill to get both of them there and she seems to have come through that last run at Leeton really good," he said.
"She is working good, she is feeling good and has never been as confident or as full of herself as she is at the moment.
"Hopefully she can take that to the races on Friday."

AFTER three placings to start her career, Knight Kiss was able to bring up her first career victory at Riverina Paceway.
In the process she became the first winning progeny of Three Over Three.
Knight Kiss is the only foal of the former Breeders Crown winner to hit the track so far.
After a couple of promising efforts, the two-year-old filly scored a 4.6 metres victory for Norm and Mal Diebert on Friday.

BLAKE Jones had a big night at Riverina Paceway on Friday.
Jones drove four winners, including Nomorelying and Forever Yin in Regional Championships heats.
Of his nine drives for the night only one was unplaced with Jones also having a second and three thirds.

BLAKE Micallef continues to have success in the west.
Micallef combined with Steve Turnbull to take out the two-year-old race with Smooth Bon Bon.
It was the Young reinsman's 29th win of the year.

GRENFELL trainer Peter McFarlane has been disqualified for six months.
Harness Racing NSW stewards concluded an inquiry into Holy Camp Caprhyse receiving an injection within one clear day of racing at Young on February 26.
Holy Camp Caprhyse was a late scratching from the race by order of the stewards.
In determining penalty, stewards gave consideration to he serious nature of the offence, McFarlane's guilty plea, his licence history and other personal subjective facts.

WAGGA will hold the second and final round of Regional Championships heats on Friday
Five heats of the group one series have been assembled.
The first race is at 12.12pm.
Wagga will host the $100,000 final as part of their Carnival of Cups meeting on May 23.
Leeton races on Tuesday.
