Race 1
Liked the last runs of both Catanzaro and Bombulla Boy at Wagga. Sifu and Toretto command respect, while keep the two emergencies safe should they gain a start.
Selections: 3-14-12-9
Race 2
Nothing jumps out of the page here. Merc is a consistent type, drawn well and gets Tommy Berry aboard. Big Day Out rarely runs a bad race.
Selections: 7-1-4-5
Race 3
15. Sly Song arrives here in good form and is drawn to get a nice trip. Appeals in an open race. Villianaire and Delivered will find this easier. Loving Cilla is lightly raced and on the up.
Selections: 15-2-11-4
Race 4
Love the way Splendiferous has savaged the line in winning her last two starts. Happy to stick with Gai here over Stand Your Ground. She will get back and watch for her flying late.
Selections: 5-10-4-1
Race 5
Zelago should sit up on the speed and give a good kick. King's Trust profiles nicely for the race. It wouldn't surprise to see Sizzleonthebridge run a big race at odds.
Selections: 3-11-4-12
Race 6
Sticking with Waterhouse & Bott here again in the form of lightly-raced Maranoa. Will be up on the speed in typical Gai fashion and take running down. Black Duke the danger.
Selections: 10-1-2-8
Race 7
Chris Waller can make it Wagga Gold Cup number four here with Yonkers. His last two starts over 2000m have resulted in impressive wins and he gets some weight off his key rivals here. Spirit Ridge the main danger.
Selections: 6-2-4-5
Race 8
The locals can win the last with a couple of strong chances. We're with the Gary Colvin-trained Monterey Zar. Namimo looks a big danger, while Miss Elsie May and Our Baez are also strong local hopes.
Selections: 8-9-13-10
