MTC chief executive Steven Keane said ticket sales this year have been incredibly strong with about 4000 general admissions sold.
Mr Keane said this is likely due to people being keen for the Gold Cup after missing out last year and also an eagerness to get out and about after the lockdowns.
"The weather is looking great," he said. "It is going to be a great day."
The first race jumps at 12.40pm with the main race starting at 4.20pm.
