The truck rolled to its side at around 3.20pm on Monday, prompting calls to Tumbarumba Fire and Rescue NSW.
The road condition was slippery at the time of the crash, due to that afternoon's rainfall.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Riverina Zone Commander Stewart Alexander said police and paramedics arrived afterwards to the scene of the crash.
"The driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and transported to hospital," Superintendent Alexander said.
"Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters dealt with a minor diesel spillage and were on scene until 7:50 pm when the truck was salvaged."
Hazmat crews have cleared the area of diesel and debris, and the road is open once more for motorists.
An ambulance spokesman said the man was taken to hospital at around 6pm, but that it did not appear to be life-threatening.
"There was one patient who got out of the vehicle with a head injury. He was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital," he said.
