The Blues will be boosted by the return of halfback Jordan Anderson after he served his suspension stemming from his grand final send off.
Anderson was able to serve one of the three games at the pre-season nines, paving the way to tackle Young at Alfred Oval on Sunday.
The 25-year-old has been itching to get back.
"I'm glad to be back," Anderson said. "I hated every minute of and while the hill was pretty good in Tumut but I'd rather have been out there listening to it."
Anderson's return will allow Blues co-coach Lachlan Bristow to return to hooker.
They hope a return to their normal structure can help them bounce back after a tight loss to Kangaroos before the bye.
"We don't really have much depth at halfback so if we lose someone we have to shift it all around which makes it hard," Anderson said.

Coming off a win over Gundagai to start the season, Anderson thought the Blues looked tired trying to back up the result against Kangaroos earlier this month.
The Wagga side only just went down to Young on Saturday to frank the form.
"We were the better team in the first half and watching from the sideline the boys just looked tired for the whole game," Anderson said.
"It looked like the week before took a lot out of them but Kangaroos are a decent side and when kept making mistakes they were bound to come back.
With the bye, Bristow didn't want to dwell on the result.
Instead he's looking forward to the challenge of the undefeated Cherrypickers.
"We didn't really analyse anything as we know we played poorly so it's a lesson learnt there," Bristow said. "We just want to focus on ourselves to make sure we get everything right."
Ball security is one thing the Blues are out to improve, after giving Kangaroos plenty of opportunities last time out.
Defence is another.
"Being able to defend our mistakes is important," Bristow said.
"Mistakes are going to be made, you can't help that in a game of footy, but you have to be willing to defend it."
Riverina representative Brayden Draber also missed the loss against Kangaroos with a rib complaint however he isn't expected to take his place in the side on Sunday.
