POLICE are investigating a home invasion which led to the assault and robbery of two people in Wagga earlier this month.

A 46-year-old woman told police she walked outside of a unit on Kokoda Street, Ashmont, about 6.30am on April 11 after hearing noises, before being assaulted by three unknown people.
Police reports stated the woman was then forced back inside by the three offenders, who went on to smash the unit's front window.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A 68-year-old man inside the home at the time was then hit over the head and torso with a shovel during the attack after the offenders demanded money.
It is further alleged the woman was forced onto a mattress in the lounge room before one of the offenders stole her handbag.
The trio fled the scene and were last seen heading west on Kokoda Street before turning south onto Tarakan Avenue.
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen something or captured the incident on security cameras to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or call Wagga Police Station on 6922 2599.
Investigations are continuing.
