The Bombers could bring Hancock into the team as soon as Saturday for the Anzac Challenge against The Rock-Yerong Creek at Langtry Oval.
The annual Anzac Challenge is shaping up as an early season blockbuster in the Farrer League, with the Bombers and Magpies the only two undefeated teams after the opening two rounds.
Hancock is no stranger to the Farrer League, having last played at North Wagga in 2019. He only managed a handful of games before a knee injury ended his season.
The 26-year-old returned to Wagga recently and has been training with the Bombers. He also ran water for them in last Saturday's win over Charles Sturt University.
Marrar coach Shane Lenon is rapt to have Hancock on board.
"Definitely. He's got good credentials," Lenon said.
"I've only seen him play one game and he kicked three or four goals against us and certainly looked like a footballer. He's got a good vertical leap and has a bit of excitement about him.
"We certainly think he's got something to offer."
Hancock kicked seven goals in four games for North Wagga in 2019. He arrived having last spent time in the Northern Territory's Premier League with Darwin Buffaloes and Adelaide before that.
He will compliment his good mate James Lawton in attack, who has bagged 16 goals from his opening two appearances for the Bombers.
"You can play him anywhere forward," Lenon said.
"He'll probably start at full-forward but you could play him on a half-forward flank, on a wing or rotate through the midfield. He'll probably play a few different roles for us, he won't be just a full-forward.
"He's a different sort of a forward. He's got a good vertical leap and has a bit of X-factor."
Lenon said there was every chance that Hancock would come in for the big game against the Magpies.
"He got back into town a couple of weeks ago and has been training," he said.
"He'll train this week and we'll look at playing him this week."
Marrar could make a number of changes for Saturday's clash against TRYC with Hancock, Jack McPherson, Rory Block, Rhys Mooney and Josh O'Callaghan among the possible inclusions.
Meantime, TRYC has submitted a clearance for former Lockhart and Narrandera key position player Nathan Finnen.
