Two big scalps in the first two weeks? It's as much as the Magpies co-coaches could've asked for.

The Rock-Yerong Creek came into the season tipped as big improvers but are quickly climbing towards big contenders after lowering the colours of Coleambally now (by 51 points on Saturday) as well as East Wagga-Kooringal.
"If someone offered me 2-and-0 a month ago, I'd take it. I probably would've been hesitant to say that's how it would be," co-coach Brad Aiken said.
"But I know how hard the boys have worked and I'm just rapt that they've come together pretty quickly. Quicker than I thought they would but that's down to hard work."
Their 16.6 (102) to 8.3 (51) win over the Blues at Victoria Park was set up by another flying start, with the Magpies kicking the first four goals of the game in a repeat of their efforts at Gumly.
Coleambally loomed in the second quarter as they started to find forward Jade Hodge regularly but were still three goals down at half-time. However, the Magpies put the foot down in the third kicking six goals to one.
Instrumental in that was full-forward Joey Kerin, who kicked 7.1 for the day, while centre-half-forward Dean Biermann backed up his big debut last week with another four goal effort.
"We started quite strongly again in the midfield and our structures were good," Aiken said.
"That's two weeks in a row we've got out of the blocks quick and it's held us in good stead for the back end of the game."
Aiken said he was pleased that when Coleambally brought their challenge late in the first quarter and throughout the second, the 'Pies held the nerve and sustained their lead.
"You have your ebbs and flows in footy but I've been impressed with how we wrestled back the momentum again and then we went on with it from there, I suppose," Aiken said.
The 20-point margin at half-time blew out to 50 by three-quarter-time as the Victoria Park faithful got a good look at the strengths of TRYC's 2021 edition.
Kerin stood tall after looking promising in patches last week.
"He was good up forward, he comes out hard at the footy. He's a very good lead-up footballer and he even went into the middle in the last quarter," Aiken said.
"He doesn't just sit on his heels and let everyone else do the work. He probably should've finished with eight straight. But he was disappointed in how he finished the second half last week and he wanted to have a good impact."
The bigger bodied Biermann and Riley Budd both backed up their round one efforts.
"They don't shirk an issue. Dean hits the packs and he's a one-grab player... and Riley was just enormous through the middle," Aiken said.
"He kept moving the footy forward and took some really nice marks down back at one stage. And we pushed him forward too.
"They're showing what they can bring to the footy club and the other boys are loving them being around."
The 'Pies believe that's the key - the effort and intensity they're getting out of the rest of their list as a result.
"Some of our other blokes that maybe didn't have that much belief in themselves before are starting to have that belief and know that they're a worthy player in our side and deserve to be where they are," Aiken said.
Michael Cummins had a big game, giving Jake Adams a spell in the ruck despite being outsized, as well as Aiden Ridley and Cooper Diessel.
Shannon Williams also showed he'll bring plenty in his first appearance in the black-and-white.
The former Marrar midfielder was one of three ins, along with co-coach Heath Russell (who kicked two goals) and Joe Hancock, who joined his Canberra travellers for the first time.
It adds up to healthy selection queries this week, ahead of the top-of-the-table showdown at Marrar, after Scott Wolter, Jordy Kemp and Harri White were all unavailable for seniors on Saturday due to a wedding.
Hodge finished with four goals for Coleambally but with limited opportunities late. Darcy Mader worked hard in the ruck and Curtis Steele tried to lift his side. But it's a fruitless first two weeks for the Blues, who will find the pressure rising as they prepare for North Wagga next. Theo Valeri was given a spell in the third-quarter, yellow carded after an altercation.
