The unaccompanied learner was travelling just out of Albury on the Hume Highway and was detected at 125 km/h.
When his Ford Focus hatch was pulled over, the 28-year-old driver from Gosford produced an international licence.

Checks identified he only held a NSW licence.
The driver was issued penalty notices for exceeding the speed limit and driving without a supervisor.
His licence was suspended on the spot for three months and officers drove the man into town so that he could find other arrangements.
The Saturday incident was among Easter operations for NSW Police.
