Turvey Park Fire and Rescue NSW got the call at around 10pm and were on the scene 10 minutes later to extinguish the fire.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Firefighters were able to douse the flames "very quickly", before searching the home for occupants, ventilating the rooms, and disconnecting the power to prevent further fires.
The cause of the fire is currently in the hands of Wagga police, which have cordoned off the property while investigations continue.
Fire and Rescue Riverina Zone Commander Superintendent Stewart Alexander said they would be deploying their sniffer dog, who will investigate the premises later today.
"The dog's coming here about five o'clock this afternoon, they'll run the dog through the premises, see if he comes up with anything, and form a determination using what information the animal can provide," Superintendent Alexander said.
"This dog won't tell you what type of fuel it is, but the dog's able to indicate if it smells accelerants like petrol or any type of fuels that may have been used."
The fire broke out right next to a large social housing block, which is currently under development.
There are no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
Police investigations continue, and they will be determining whether the fire was lit deliberately or caused by an electrical fault or other accident.
