After a man was clocked speeding on the Hume Highway, police uncovered that he was also drink-driving and possessed cannabis.

On March 11, officers from Murray River Highway Patrol stopped detected a 53-year-old man travelling on the Hume Highway in Kyeamba at 138 km/h in a signposted 110 km/h zone.
Police allege that when the officers stopped the man, they could smell intoxicating liquor coming from him, a breath test returned a positive indication and he was arrested.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The 53-year-old was arrested and taken to Holbrook Police Station where he returned a breath analysis reading 0.130 grams of alcohol.
Officers issued the man with a Field Court Attendance Notice to appear before Holbrook Local Court on the April 1, 2021 charged with mid-range drink-driving and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was also issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 20km/h.
