A man has admitted to having a weapon on him in a Wagga shopping centre, but will fight other charges levelled against him.

Mark Shailer, of Wagga, pleaded guilty to charges of having custody of a knife in public place and shoplifting when he appeared in Wagga Local Court on Monday.
The 44-year-old Shailer pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempt to stalk/intimidate intending fear of harm (personal).
IN OTHER NEWS:
According to court documents, Mr Shailer was in possession of a knife at Sturt Mall about 4pm on March 4 and allegedly stole two cooks knives, valued to $16, from Coles.
About that same time, police allege he also attempted to stalk or intimidate two people at the shopping complex.
Magistrate Christopher Halburd refused Mr Shailer's bail in court on Monday.
The matter will return to Wagga Local Court on April 26.
