Police swarmed Baylis Street near the Edward Street intersection on Monday afternoon after reports that a man was behaving aggressively to paramedics and members of the public.
The 22-year-old man was arrested and escorted back to his home in Wagga by police.
A spokesperson from the Riverina Police District said the man will likely be charged with behave in offensive manner in a public place.
A NSW Ambulance Spokesperson said one crew attended the incident where the man was acting violently and threatening people.
"The reports indicate the man also abused a paramedic, but only verbally with no injuries received," they said.
