NSW Ambulance confirmed they were called out to reports of two-car accident on Ziegler Avenue just after 10am, where emergency services found a red sedan had crashed with a blue Holden ute near Kooringal High School.
The woman was treated on the scene, having hurt her hand in the crash, however the injury was not bad enough to warrant hospitalisation.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Amber Hughes, who is the woman's sister, rushed down to the site of the crash as soon as she heard the news.
"She doesn't remember what happened. The air bags went off. She must have [hit her head]," Ms Hughes said.
"I was worried. She had my four-year-old nephew in the car. "
The driver of the blue ute did not receive any serious injuries. He was not the owner of the ute, having borrowed it from a friend of his.
Thomas Jones, whose uncle owns the blue ute, said he witnessed the incident unfold as he was driving down Ziegler Avenue.
"I watched it happen. I was up at the corner. It's me uncle that's involved," Mr Jones said.
