Multiple Riverina Police District vehicles, including undercover cars, blocked off parts of the street along the intersection of Baylis and Edward streets just after 2pm on Monday, where they responded to reports of a man abusing pedestrians and paramedics.
A NSW Ambulance Spokesperson said one crew attended the incident where a man was acting violently and threatening people.
"The reports indicate the man also abused a paramedic, but only verbally with no injuries received," they said.
A NSW Police Media spokesperson confirmed officers were in attendance, and it is believed an arrest has been made.
No injuries have been reported, and traffic has returned to normal flow.
