Colts missed their chance to cement a finals berth after a nail-biting one-wicket loss to Wagga RSL on Sunday.
After putting in one of their strongest performances of the season to get the better of Lake Albert on Saturday, Colts couldn't quite pull of the result again.
David Bolton (88 and 27) and Hamish Starr (36 and 45) were in the runs in both matches.
However after putting on 9-240 against Lake Albert in their 117-run victory at Rawlings Park, Kooringal found things much tougher against Wagga RSL at Harris Park.
Bowled out in the 28th over for 122, Bolton snared three late wickets to set up a thrilling finish.
However number 11 Rod Guy (three not out) managed to get the Bulldogs home with five balls to spare.
Colts still in fourth on quotient with a clash against Wagga City in Saturday's final round, level with St Michaels on 22 points.
