The Illabo trainer won four races from the six he had runners in.
After It's A Maybe went down as $1.55 favourite in the first race, Vortex ensured a winning exit from the kennel.
Vortex had been close to the mark, after not finishing worse than fourth in any of his races, but broke through for his first win at start seven.
Jumping well from box five, Vortex was able to dominate his rivals to win by more than five lengths.
However he will soon have a change of scenery.
"He's a nice dog but I'm relinquishing him as we've got faster dogs at home," Sims said.
"He is going but when he gets it his own way he can do that but he doesn't always do that."
Moment Of Bliss then returned to winning ways in the race following.
The bitch had won three in a row before finding trouble at Temora last week, but there was no repeat this time around as she cleared away from her rivals to score by over six lengths.
She clocked 30.05 seconds in the process.
Sims has been trying to stick to country grade, but expects another trip to Wentworth Park will soon be in order.
"She is improving and has gone nice," he said.
"If she keeps going the way she is going she will go to Sydney for a couple of 500s and then push on."
Sims continued his good day as White Ticket repeated the dose after her maiden win last win.
Short Ticket then capped off the big day for Sims with another impressive win.
The $1.10 chance remains undefeated in three starts and never looked like getting headed on Thursday.
Sims is looking to extend his good run at Temora on Sunday.
Meanwhile Michael Finn scored the quinella in the feature race of the day.
However this time it was Tiggerlong Al who proved faster than littermate Tiggerlong Grace.
Tiggerlong Grace was the fastest qualifier for the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Final (320m) but finished a length behind.
