The six-year-old made three wins and a second from four starts for Euroley trainer David Kennedy by taking out the $11,730 Allan Harpley Memorial (2170m).
Jumping straight to the lead from barrier three, reinsman Jackson Painting was able to dictate terms on Cheddar Made Beta.
With his rivals looming at the top of the turn, Cheddar Made Beta ($1.18 fav) launched up the hill to down Billysbredone ($23) by 2.7 metres.
While thrilled with his form, a tendency not to put away his rivals is something Painting hopes it's a trait he can grow out of.
"I think he will go through his grades no worries, he's just a big, lazy bugger but he doesn't like letting them get past him," Painting said.
"That's a good thing but he just does as little as possible but he will do a job for the boys that own him."
After just winning at Albury first up from New Zealand, Cheddar Made Better finished second at Cobram before scoring a big win at Leeton last time out.
Painting was concerned when the horse first arrived but luckily he's proving to be much better at the races than when working at home.
"I thought we were in trouble when we bought him as at home he's a terrible track worker but that just seems to be him," he said.
"He just likes to sit a head in front of them.
"In his first race he just got a head in front and was happy to sit there.
"Last week he surprised me when he ran away from there and hopefully he might start doing that but I don't like my chances."
Meanwhile El Aguila put in a brave display to take out the Menangle Country Series heat on the card.
After two false starts, which saw offender Coolhand Easton scratched, El Aguila was able to use the advantage of barrier one to lead the field.
Driver Amy Day then had to starve off a mid-race move from Procurement before racing away from their rivals.
El Aguila went on to win by 7.4 metres with Beau Brown just edging out his rivals late to also qualify for the final.
Cheddar Made Beta's win made up for the disappointment of Coolhand Easton's poor behaviour.
Well in the market, Painting admitted manners behind the mobile can be an issue for the six-year-old.
"He can be funny when he wants to be behind the mobile and it was going a bit slow which didn't help me," he said.
Painting won earlier in the night with Caribbean Magic almost claimed another feature but Warrawee Tina just couldn't quite wear Spirited down in the Phyllis Harpley Memorial.
However Trevor White's mare held one to win by a neck.
