The Leisurefest Roadshow comes "right in time" for a boom in local travel, according to organisers, with expo spokesman Pete Rhodes saying a combination of factors have led to a rise in caravan sales.
"The first [factor] is the change in the leisure dollar. It seems now that more people looking at holidaying in Australia," he said.
"People want to explore their own backyard, get out of the cities with their families, and see Australia."
Mr Rhodes said free camping was another strong reason people were turning to caravanning and camping.
"Many smaller towns are now being bypassed by freeways and highways, as well as many caravan parks becoming extremely expensive, so in an effort to help both the traveller and indeed struggling towns, many councils are opening up park land, sports grounds and such, and providing electricity and water, for a nominal fee overnight," he said.
"Caravanners return the favour by spending in that township."

Despite concerns around event limitations, the expo would still see great interest, according to Show Director Jeffrey Leech.
"We have a registered QR code upon arrival which marshals will be able to help out with, and sanitiser stations throughout," he said.
"The event is registered through NSW Health as a COVID-safe event, so we will be allowed 5000 people outside at any one time."
The event will also follow the one person per two square metres rule, and each caravan display will cleaned down after every viewing.
The event will arrive in Wagga on February 19 and span across three days at the Range Function Centre on Copland Street, running from 9am to 5pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
Attendees will have the chance to browse a range of caravans, campers, boats, accessories and more, and explore the latest in camping technologies.
