Colts are now ahead of the Saints, as well as Lake Albert, on quotient with three rounds remaining.
After bowling St Michaels out for 165, Kooringal Colts chased down the target with six wickets and over six overs in hand.
Captain Keenan Hanigan was thrilled to come away with the victory.
"It was probably our best game of the year," Hanigan said.
"Plans went our way for once and it was just a good game of cricket."
Macgregor Hanigan and Will Oliver both took three wickets as St Michaels tried to overcome a slow start.
With captain Beck Frostick (22) dismissed hit wicket, Daniel Coates (54) and Nathan Corby (37) offered some resistance.
However it wasn't enough as Hamish Starr (43), David Bolton (31) and the skipper (32) ensured Colts brought up their second win.
"It can be a tricky score to chase but we stuck to our guns and everyone that batted played a role," Hanigan said.
"That is all we could ask for and chasing 160 that is how you expect to chase them down."
Colts also retained the Koetz-Jolliffe Cup with the win.
