Boston Gillanders shaved 11 seconds off the school's 11 years backstroke record on Friday.
Swimming carnival coordinator Tarryn Birthisel said there were plenty of strong achievers at the carnival.
Tahlia Maher and Chloe Simmonds were close competition, tying the junior girls division.
"It was great to still see a lot of competitors turn up and have a go at all races," Birthisel said.
The winning house will be announced next week after results are tallied.
A team of about 35 swimmers will now head to the PSSA Wagga District Carnival.
