Riverina police have discovered and seized cannabis plants worth about $60,000 from a home in Wagga this morning.

At about 7.45am on Thursday morning, officers from the Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Ashmont in response to information they had been given.
The officers discovered about 30 mature cannabis plants in the backyard of the home, with the plants totalling a street value of approximately $60,000.

A taser, laser pointer and goods believed to have been stolen were also discovered during the search, with police seizing all the items and sending them away for forensic examination.
An investigation is now underway in relation to the cannabis, with inquiries continuing.
Charges are expected to be laid as part of the investigation.
