After two washouts, one-day cricket hasn't been played at all this year and after failing to win any of their last four matches captain Sam Perry is hoping their finals run in the shortened format can produce dividends.
"Hopefully we can continue the little bit of the momentum we had in the T20 stuff and bring it into the one-dayers," Perry said.
"Everyone is pretty excited to get back into it.
"Obviously after missing a couple of weeks because of the rain and with the T20 stuff, the one-day stuff hasn't been around for a while but everyone is keen to try and push for finals."
However Wagga RSL are set for a big challenge at Wagga Cricket Ground on Saturday up against second-placed South Wagga.
The Bulldogs scored a dramatic win over the Blues to start the Twenty20 competition and Perry is hopeful of repeating the dose.
"The way we finished the back end of the first half of the season was pretty ordinary and well below our standards," he said.
"This weekend is one of the better teams to test yourself against."
Wagga RSL welcome back Charlie Cull for the clash however Joe Kenny is unavailable.
