Registrations are open for the five, 10 and 21 kilometre events, to be held at the Temora Lake Centenary complex on March 14.
Active Farmers chief executive Ginny Stevens said a local active farmer originally had the idea to hold a run in Mangoplah to help build resilience in the local community after drought and the coronavirus pandemic.
Ms Stevens said running events encouraged people to get together with friends to train as well as providing a now-rare opportunity to get together as a community.
"Those two things together are really great for mental health and building resilience within farming communities," she said.
"It gives people something to work towards and to focus on."

Ms Stevens said the Temora route would go through neighbouring farmland, with a "pram-friendly" route for families participating in the shorter event and children under 12 offered free entry.
Attendance for all three categories is capped at 100 each, with registrations closing on March 7.
About 80 people have already signed up for the event.
With the usual Active Farmers Games cancelled due to the pandemic, Ms Stevens said the run would be a COVID-Safe alternative with a DJ and food available at the complex.
