Three Fire and Rescue NSW appliances attended the incident on Fernleigh Road in Ashmont just before 3.30pm and had the fire extinguished within 20 minutes.
The fire destroyed the interior of a caravan parked in the driveway of a house, which also suffered minor damage to its exterior.
Riverina Police District officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics also attended as a precaution, with no injuries reported at the incident.
Fire and Rescue NSW Turvey Park Station commander Jeff Edwards said the fire had interrupted "a quiet Sunday afternoon" in the street.
"We ran two 38 [millimetre wide] hoses onto the caravan and another hose onto the house to prevent fire from taking hold in the house," he said.
"We prevented the fire from instigating in the house.
"There was minor damage to the house but the caravan has been completely engulfed."
