Hospital visitors can now use the main entryway, which takes people through the foyer of the brand new Health Services Hub building.
Construction works are still underway on the rest of the building, with only the main entrance open so far.
Wagga Base general manager Troy Trgetaric said it was fantastic to open the front doors, which he said had "been a long time coming".

The Health Services Hub building has been described as the centrepiece of the third and final stage of the hospital's $431 million redevelopment.
Many of Wagga's public and allied health clinics will be consolidated in the new building when it is open, such as community and paediatric services.
The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has committed to an "early 2021" opening, with Mr Trgetaric saying staff and services should be moving into the hub in a few months' time.
"We don't have an exact date at this point in time. It will be over 60 services that are moving into this building from 12 different sites around Wagga and the [health] campus here," he said.
"In order to continue to be able to offer our services for all of the community it has to be a staged approach."
Roanna O'Hara, Wagga Base Hospital's manager for allied health and ambulatory care, said the new building should be fully functional by mid-year.
"It's a really exciting time for teams who have been working in older buildings and demountables for a really long time to come into this building," she said.
"The teams are really looking forward to coming together. We find when we're in physical proximity to one another we're able to provide patient-centred care a lot better."
