Wagga's new Twenty20 competition resumes at Geoff Lawson Oval on Wednesday night.
St Michaels are the only club yet to bring up a win in the competition after the first six matches.
After a 13-run loss to Kooringal Colts to start the tournament on Thursday night, the Saints slipped to a 39-run loss against Lake Albert on Saturday.
Captain Beck Frostick is looking for more consistency as letting a good start slip.
"I thought we were good in patches," Frostick said.
"Our bowling was a bit wayward at times, especially in the middle orders where we let them get away with it.
"We still showed a good account of ourselves in the field but overall just weren't at the races for the full 20 overs, which was a shame."
However he hopes some additions to the side will help their fortunes.
Jack Reynolds and Ryan Forsyth are two who are expected to come back into the side.
"Hopefully we are going to be a lot stronger than what we have been," he said.
"We've got some good faces coming back in."
Frostick took over the wicketkeeping duties against Lake Albert.
It was a blow to the side's bowling attack, with the Englishman the club's leading wicket-taker with 11 dismissals at an average of 17.18 so far in the regular season.
However with regular keeper Mick Cattell struggling with a knee complaint he thought it was the right move.
"I've done it a little bit in the past back in England so it wasn't really that big of a change," Frostick said.
"I've done it before so I knew what was doing and was just helping Mick out and making sure his knee is right for whenever we need him behind the stumps properly.
"It's a long season so we need him on board and can't afford for him to be carrying an injury."
However he did rue dropping Isaac Cooper early, who went on to make 50 in Lake Albert's win.
South Wagga, who started with a three-run loss to Wagga RSL on Friday before a 39-run win over Colts, welcome back captain Luke Gerhard and Alex Smeeth for the clash.
However Jake Scott is out of the side.
Runs on the board has been a big advantage so far in the competition, with Wagga City (twice) the only club who has successfully chased down a total.
Frostick is looking to adopt a simple approach.
"I think we just have to do the basics well and the teams that does the basics the best is going to win at the end of the day," he said.
"In Wagga cricket for the T20s the team who bats first and posts anything over 120 is in massive control.
"On the big grounds it is hard for chasing teams to get the maximums and the boundaries to chase as there is a little bit of pressure on you. You never know if we set a score things might happen but we will see what the wicket is playing like and as long as we do the basics correctly I'm sure we will be fine."
