Hard To Love is chasing his third win in his past five starts and has come up with barrier one in the Discount Warehouse Pace (1770m) at Albury on Tuesday.
After winning a Menangle Country Series heat, Hard To Love was a fast-finishing third in the final before having to do it tough at Goulburn last month.
However Harrington expects he will be much better suited by the good draw.
"It certainly makes things easier so I'm not complaining," Harrington said.
"I think I can take advantage and hopefully hold up as I'm very happy with the way the horse is going.
"It looks like he is up in grade a little bit but the way he is going at the moment he's just loving life and wanting to be a racehorse."
Harrington believes it is a fairly even field.
Hard To Love finished seventh in his last race, but after doing plenty of work early from a wide alley Harrington was far from disappointed with his effort.
"It surprised me at Goulburn as the gate goes a little quicker and nothing really came off the gate," he said.
"He came off the gate nice and I thought I'd just keep poking forward.
"I wasn't expecting to find the chair but probably the 27 quarter down the back caught him flat footed.
"He doesn't really have a quick, quick quarter in him but he wasn't giving ground up the straight and held what they sprinted away from him.
"I was very happy with the run and he's pulled up good after it."
Harrington also lines up Nicky Khan, who just missed out on a breakthrough win at Wagga last month.
He's finished down the track in both his runs since, but Harrington is confident there is a win in him yet.
"If he does everything right around that first corner he's working just as good as Hard To Love so I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls off an upset," he said.
"I'm very happy with the way he is working but he's a bit of a quirky kind of fella."
Nicky Khan has drawn barrier two in the Blacklocks Albury Maiden Pace (2170m).
Harrington also has Complicated engaged.
The daughter of the well-performed Reneging is yet to be placed in 12 starts to date but Harrington believes there could be some potential there.
"I wish it would want to be a racehorse," he said.
"It is a bit of a quirky one too as it has ability but it just doesn't seem to be wanting to do it at the moment."
Jamie Hogan takes the drive.
However he will take the steer on Streamliner for Brian Smith.
Streamliner won a Regional Championships heat in May, but has struggled to recapture the same form.
However after resuming up in grade, Harrington believes he's starting to get back to more suitable company.
The first of eight races is at 6.39pm.
The meeting was transferred to the border due to works under way at Riverina Paceway.
