Development applications detailing the constructions of the visitor facility and resort operations centre have been submitted to the NSW Government Planning and Environment department.
The proposals includes construction of new staff accommodation buildings, an improved resort operations centre, guest facilities, day use snow cabins and enhanced snow play facilities and services.
In a statement, the Minister for the Environment proposed to grant the resort a lease in Kosciuszko National Park.
The proposed lease term is for 20 years, plus one option for a further term of 20 years.
After the Dunns Road fire burned through the region, Kevin James Blyton, chairman of the Blyton Group announced they would be cancelling the 2020 winter season.
"We are incredibly saddened by the impact this fire has had, not only on our resort but on the wider local community as well," he said at the time.

"We have considered a range of options to try and resume operations for this coming winter, however the damage to critical infrastructure is simply too extensive to make this possible.
"But have no doubt, my team and I are totally focused on the rebuild of Selwyn Snow Resort and we look forward to welcoming guests back to an even better Selwyn."
