Officers from the Riverina Police District are investigating the incident which is believed to have occurred any time between 6.30pm on Tuesday and 5.30am on Wednesday at Lake Albert Public School.
The offender, or offenders, ran riot through the school, drawing offensive scenes on the whiteboard of one classroom, and unwrapping and stealing 30 presents from another.
The presents were purchased by Year 5 and 6 students for one another in a secret Santa arrangement to celebrate the festive season.

Generous donations from the public have been offered after word got out of the sad news, but police and the school hope to see those responsible caught.
