Paige Starr was married in 2019, and after a year of bushfires and a pandemic she knew donating her dress would bring someone joy.

For Tracy Dawson, the gift meant she could give her daughter the wedding dress of her dreams.

Ms Starr put a call out on social media earlier in the week, saying she would be giving her gown away for free.

She added it got such a positive response and she's thrilled knowing Tanya-Lee will wear down her wedding dress the aisle again.

"I had such a beautiful wedding day, and I am happy to help make someone else's wedding day," Ms Starr said.

Tracy Dawson said it had been a tough year for their family after having to bury her sister.

She added it broke her heart knowing her daughter's aunt wouldn't be at the wedding.

On top of that, Tracy feared she would not be able to get the perfect dress for her daughter. Then, she saw Paige Starr's post.

"When I found out that Paige had picked us to give her dress to, I was blown away," Tracy said.

"It is such a generous thing to do.

"It's a beautiful dress, and she is going to look so beautiful in it.

"Just thinking about it makes me tear up a little."

Tanya-Lee Dawson will be married on January 14, and had been worried she was not going to find the perfect gown in time.

"I had tried on so many dresses, but had not found the one yet," she said.

"I was getting a bit stressed because January is not far away and I still had not gotten it yet.

"Then mum picked this up, I saw it, and I fell in love with it straight away. I can't wait to get married in it."
