Social committee president Lida Vanlierop and secretary Gloria Eden have gathered funds for Christmas hamper items to give to Sisters Housing Enterprises and Ashmont Community Centre.
Mrs Eden said it was wonderful to be able to support local organisations.
"We're at the age now where we've got grandchildren and great grandchildren, but it is nice to be able to give to somebody else that probably can't get these things together," she said.
"I know when I was younger I had four children and I was on my own. And Christmas time is a really hard time to try and get all your bills paid plus extras for Christmas and toys for the kids."
Ashmont Community Centre facilitator Tracey Hancock said Christmas could be a challenging time for some people in Wagga.
"But when we get some great donations and the generosity of people within the community ... that is absolutely fantastic," she said.
She thanked the residents and said their donations would be much appreciated.
