Que Bar and The Playground have been shut for seven months as the coronavirus pandemic saw a raft of rules enforced to stamp out community transmission.
The government agreed to lift a tranche of restrictions from Monday, including changing the social distancing recommendation of one person per four square metres to one person per two square metres.
Gyms and nightclubs are the only exceptions to this changed rule.
There will be no caps on patron numbers at hospitality venues, nor at wedding and funerals.
Standing in outdoor hospitality venues will be permitted, and up to 50 people can be on a dancefloor at any one time.
Manager Chris Atherton said they plan to open on December 12.
"We will need to restock, organise and get ready to have people come through the doors," he said.
"We did a fair bit of renovations over the break, and we have got a fresh of lick of paint."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Atherton said some of their staff had moved on after finishing university, but some had ducked down to the Victoria Hotel for work.
He added, they will be looking for more staff.
"The Playground will be opening to the limits on the restrictions," Mr Atherton said.
"Because the venue is already a bit compartmentalised it will be easier to manage, and we will only be allowing the 50 people on the dancefloor as per the rules.
"There will be strategies put in place with table and chair placements as well."
Mr Atherton said the team is looking forward to getting back to some normality.
In other restrictions to be relaxed, controlled events will be permitted to have up to 5000 people, while stadiums and outdoor theatres can operate at 100 per cent capacity.
Indoor stadiums and theatres can operate at 75 per cent capacity, while choirs of up to 50 people will be permitted to perform indoors.
