Essential Energy noted significant damage to the electricity network and power outages for 31,000 customers in the Riverina, South West Slopes, Orana and Central Tablelands regions.
Roughly 30 North Wagga residents are without electricity at the moment, with power estimated to return later this afternoon.

Essential Energy Operations Manager Shawn Eade said 313 North Wagga residents were initially impacted on Tuesday afternoon, while attending crews re-routed power around the local network and back-fed to progressively restore power to all customers by 8.50pm.
"At 9.16am this morning, 28 customers experienced a further power outage as yesterday's weather caused damage to the high-voltage electricity network," he said.
"Crews are currently onsite repairing the damaged network and it is estimated that customers will have their power restored by 2.30pm this afternoon."
