Ricky Potter overcame some hot conditions and tough competition to take out the Zone 8 Champion of Champions Singles title over the weekend.

Due to the hot temperature at Narrandera Bowling Club on Saturday, all games were brought forward.
The players battled horrendous conditions to get the quarter-finals played however Stephen Broad of North Albury was able to get the better of Young's Damien Miller of Young by 31-28 while in the other match Ricky Potter of Temora Bowling and Recreation defeated Wagga RSL's Brett White 31-26.
The winners progressed to the semi-finals on Sunday morning where Narrandera's Matthew Thornton used his home green advantage to defeat Broad while Potter got the better of Geoffrey Webb from Club Tumut 31-29.
It set up a clash in the final between Thornton and Potter.
Thornton got off to a good start to lead by 7-1 after four ends before Potter clicked into gear.
Potter took control of the final to lead 20-10 on 19 ends before before running out a worthy Zone Champion with a 31-17 win.
