"Respect" is the simple message Wagga's Ronda Lampe wants residents to think about this week.

And anyone who buys a coffee from a cafe or a drink from a pub in the coming days may notice the word printed on their cups and coasters.
It's all part of Respect Week, organised by community group Respect Awareness whose aim is to encourage Wagga residents to have respect for other people, their rights and their property.
Respect Awareness president Ronda Lampe said she received good feedback from the community, who are supportive of the message.

"I think it's had a good impact. When I went around to all the coffee shops to see if they wanted to be involved they were more than happy," Mrs Lampe said.
Respect Awareness board member Michael Camerer said the group wanted to promote "respecting yourself, the people around you and the community at large".
"It's not about just how you behave to other people but also about how you behave to their possessions, how you behave within the community," Mr Camerer said
"[It's about] encouraging people to find alternative means of getting along that when perhaps there's a little bit of conflict and you don't necessarily see eye-to-eye."
